George Mkandawire epitomizes acceleration in ministry. He was saved at age 12, started teaching Sunday school at age 14 and was preaching by age 17! He has been in active ministry for 29 years.
After receiving his Diploma in Theological Studies in 1988, George decided to go into church planting and missions, planting 30 churches in Zambia, Malawi and later in South Africa. He received his Advanced Diploma in Practical Aspects of Pastoral Studies in 2005. He worked for an International Pastoral and Leadership Training institute as the Chief Operating Officer, and facilitated the establishment of that organization in 10 additional African nations.
George has a strong desire to see this Apostolic Word reach nations where it has not yet been embraced. He currently helps pastors and leaders to transition into the Apostolic Season. His efforts have led to the establishment of Apostolic Schools of Ministry (ASOM) in Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania.
George and his wife Felie serve at Gate Ministries Sandton as Regional and Pastoral Elders overseeing the house churches in the East Rand Region. They live in Kempton Park with their super active sons Tapiwa and Asante.
