In today’s Resurrection Sunday message Pastor Thamo continues with the series, ‘Passover Principles for Immunization of Households’.
The focal point of today’s teaching is to see Jesus not just in the resurrected position but to see Him in the heavenly, ascended position. It is only when we see Him as He is, then can we see ourselves seated with Him in heavenly places. According to Ephesians 2:6, God has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Pastor Thamo teaches that the resurrection was the proof that Jesus rose from the dead, but the ascension of Jesus to be seated at the right hand of the Father speaks about governance, jurisdiction, executive privilege, authority, glorification and sovereign rule.
This teaching emphasizes the importance for us to enter into the same position that Christ is because, in Christ, we have executive privileges to rule as Kings and Priests, having jurisdiction and dominion in the earth. We should learn how to live resurrected and ascended lives by learning how to shift from mortality to immortality, by moving out of our corruptible ways of existence to the incorruptible, and by adopting a heavenly way of thinking and living.
In the closing segments of this teaching, Pastor Thamo does an exposition of chapters 5,6 and 7 of the book of Revelation, in which he explains the metaphor of the lamb. The lamb represents meekness, humility and obedience, and whilst Jesus ascended as the Lamb of God, He sat down as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. As He is, so are we.
