In this session, Thamo shares his convictions and prophetic impressions for the future of the Church.
In sharing these prophetic impressions, he expressed an inclination that something great is about to break forth in the Church of Christ upon the earth. There is a sense that our winter is about to end, and the summer is about to break upon our lives. It seems like the horizon is getting clearer and there is a renewed sense of hope and purpose. These prophetic impressions have a scriptural basis to it which is largely based on the prophetic interpretation of the writings found in the book of Zechariah.
The word of the Lord Almighty came to me.2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.”3 This is what the Lord says: “I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain.”4 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each of them with cane in hand because of their age. 5 The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.”6 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “It may seem marvellous to the remnant of this people at that time, but will it seem marvellous to me?” declares the Lord Almighty.7 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. 8 I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.” Zechariah 1;1 -8
Pastor Thamo unpacks this portion of scripture to describe how God is returning to His Church with mercy and compassion. This does not mean that there will be no more challenges, warfare, periods of darkness, etc. but there will be an unusual grace and favour that is coming upon the Church. We must now position and prepare ourselves to be launched into a realm of unprecedented grace, favour, and blessings upon the corporate body – the corporate son which is the Church.
